This looks like a terrific alternative to the discontinues tonic trimmers that we all love so much. Fiskars is a solid brand and this appears to be a solid trimmer.

I used this trimmer at an Expo. It is an absolute must have to trim the lovely Club Scrap papers quickly and efficiently when doing ALSB with Tricia's instructions. I highly recommend it! The trimmer is lightweight, yet accurate and easy to use.

Love this trimmer--once you use it there isn't another that performs as well. Had my trimmer for over 5 yrs and still works great. cuts through like its soft butter

I've had several trimmers--most by Fiskars except two. The others are by X-Acto and Crafters Corner. For some reason, I keep coming back to Fiskars. My latest was a Fiskars rotary which I like very much except it folds in the middle exactly at the 6" point which is death to card makers if the cutting surface isn't perfectly even. I still like it and will keep it as a back up. It's twice the price of this model and quite heavy. Thus, I was quite surprised that I could swing this baby around by the handle as if it weighed nothing. What a delight for transporting it from place to place as I often do. I miss a couple of features in this model: a full bumper at the bottom with measures from 0 to 12, and even a mini bumper with "negative" measures on the right side to help support the paper. I also like the typical Fiskars plexiglass mobility covering the paper next to the blade--at least the ability to lift the plexiglass shield up at least 90 degrees so I can handle my paper(s) better. I also didn't feel when I pressed down on the shield my paper was completely weighted. And the cm measures were more predominant on the grid than inches. This simply requires adapting to a different layout. As a card maker, I miss the markings for standard card sizes that exist on some Fiskars models, but my last trimmer didn't have them and I expect to adjust as I have in the past. For the price, it's an excellent unit. And best, it's compact and I have a place where I can set it up by itself so I can run to it to cut something any time I want. For that convenience and for the price and self-sharpening ability, this trimmer is an excellent buy and useful addition to my workspace. Try it; I think you'll agree it's a best buy for the price
